Industrial Nurses The Mid-Indiana Industrial Nurses Association, Inc., will meet Friday, March 8, 1957, 7:00 p.m., Buckley’s Restaurant, on U. S. 40, Cumberland, Indiana. Mr. Robert Beck, will speak on “Prudent Money Management.” Since 1949, Mr. Buck has been Director of Training for Thomas & McKinnon, members of the New York Stock Exchange, in Anderson, Indiana. During this time he has employed and trained many young men to become registered representatives of the New York Stock Exchange in-the employ of Thomson & McKinnin. He served as an instructor at Butler University and is author of an article in the Barron’s Weekly entitled, “A Brower’s letter to His Newly Married Daughter.” The Nominating Committee will announce the 1957 ballot. Heart Drive The Marion County Heart Fund Committee wishes to express its thanks to the workers in Speedway who assisted with the Heart Fund Campaign. ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) will be contacted for pledges and contributions. Last week the original fund drive contributions had passed the $22,000 mark. While this is a good beginning, but of course much more needs be done. At an organizational meeting held to map out plans for this fund drive the following captains were selected: Frank Harrold, Wm. Doyle, Cyril Brunner, H. Fitzpatrick, Al Marzo, Jim Rosner, Wm. Sherman and Wm. Byrne. These eight men will report to Division Leaders Leonard Benedetto, James Breen, John Grande and James O’Hara. The only midweek retreat of the year will open March 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Retreat House, Indianapolis. The Rev. James E. Hill, pastor of Holy Spirit Catholic church in Evansville, will direct the retreat for women from the Indianapolis archdiocese and the Lafayette diocese. Any lady from St. Christopher wishing to make this retreat should contact Mrs. Carl Sheets not later than March 15th. Carolyn Martich and Sandy Hall of St. Christopher are two of the promoters for a Business Girl Retreat at Fatima Retreat House, Indianapolis, for girls from West Side Indianapolis parishes March 8-10 week end. Father James P. Galvin will be the Retreat Master. On Monday morning the High Mass was said for Elizabeth S. O’Neal at the request of the Prau family and on Tuesday morning Don Anthony Niro was remembered at the request of Sam Nerone. St. Christopher Altar Society requested the Mass this morning for Margaret Jane Wiseman. Tomorrow morning the deceased relatives and friends of St. Christopher will be remembered in the 8 o’clock High Mass. Ping Pong Champions in the recent Junior C.Y.O. Tourney were Boys Singles—Tom Zeunik; Girls Singles—Linda Riedy; Boys Doubles—Jim Rolles and Mike Martich; Girls Doubles— Linda Riedy and Mary Ellen Benedetto; Mixed Doubles—Jim Rolles and Mary Ellen Benedetto. In preparation for the Junior C.Y.O. Quiz Program coming up, C.Y.O.ers were asked-to prepare for a practice Quiz Prongram to be held after the business meeting on March 12th by reading the -March Ist and March Bth issues of the Indiana Catholic. Questions will be taken from pages 1,3, 4,5, and 6. And to make it more interesting, we are told cash prizes will be awarded.
