General Gruenther To Speak At Red Cross Kick-Off General Alfred M. Gruenther, President of the American National Red Cross, will be the main speaker at the Indianapolis Red Cross Fund Campaign “kick-off” meeting Tuesday, February 26, at 6:45 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, announced William C. Jackson, campaign chairman. General Gruenther became President of the American National Red Cross on January 1, 1957, after retiring from active duty in the U. S. Army, where he served as Commander of European forces of NATO since July, 1953. The February 26 meeting will mark the beginning of the 1957 Indianapolis Red Cross Campaign for Funds, and the campaign will continue until March 25. The general public is invited to

All textiles, except floor coverings, mattresses, commercial clippings from factories and shoes, are accepted, with no restrictions as to their condition. More later. St. Christopher Building fund is growing—amount received to date $21,000.00. Leonard Benedetto is ticket salesman for the Catholic Forum—a series of three lectures and a debate on religious and secular topics by qualified speakers. Each program is to be held at Marian College, 3200 Cold Springs road. The price of a single lecture is 75c—53.00 for single season tickets and $5.00 for couple—dates—February 28, March 28th, April 25th and May 23d. Mr. Benedetto only had in the beginning five singles and ten doubles—so him immediately if you are interested, please. He must turn back any unsold tickets right away. On Sunday 24th, a special Card Party will be sponsored by St. Anthony Altar Society at 2:00 and at 7:00 p.m. in the new school basement, 375 North Warman Avenue.
