RASERAJLL NEWS We have come to the end of another baseball season. It has been a successful season for Speedway and we hope a very happy one for all the boys who participated. The officers of the organizations as well as the coaches wish to take this opportunity to thank all their assistants, and parents who so generously gave their help and time to make this baseball season such a big success. We look forward to next year when again we will greet you from this column in your Flyer.

ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH . (Continued rrom Page 1) The Leonard Endres family moved from West 13th Street last Saturday to their new home at 8000 West Morris Street. We hated to have the Endres move away, but Leonard tells us that they will still come to St. Chrisopher and for that we are glad. Forty-eight parents attended the Junior C.Y.O. parent sponsorship last week and it was indeed very gratifying. Tuesday evening of this week the Junior C.Y.O. meet in the social room at the church and made plans for the winter’s activities. On Monday evening of this week, a football meeting- was held for all interested grade school boys and their parents. And the girls not to be outdone by the boys, had a softball meeting this week. In St. Christopher school, the parents of the children who use the school bus operate the bus—not actually drive it, but it is their responsible to see that the bus operaes. To work out the problems of routes and finances, a meeting was held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. Regular monthly meeting of the Altar Society will be at 8 o’clock Wednesday evening, September sth. Hostesses for the meeting are Helen Freund, Pauline Nester, Eve Harris, Agnes Althoff, Ellen Swift, Mazie Bender, Rosemary Snyder, Agnes Benedetto, Dolores Rolles, Gladys Theiss, Mair Stevens, Margaret Cayton, Ruth Chadwick, Marilyn Rabb, Eve Nordmeyer, Lorena Schenck, Esther Bula and Josephine Armin. No special invitations are issued but every lady who is a member of the parish and every lady whose husband is a member of the parish whether she is or not is a member of the Altar Society and as members of the Society they should attend these meetings. We are told that the hostesses are planning a nice party after the business meeting. At the last meeting, it was passed that election of new officers would be changed from the fall to the spring so that they would be going into office in June. However, since the Festival Board is deep in their plans for the summer festival by that tiipe, new members to the Board will be elected this fall. Is there any woman who has a yen to work with the Board? If so; Mrs. John Knight, president of the Society, would be happy to talk things over with any such lady if she will but call her.
