Personals Mr. Larry H. Heston, son of Mrs. W. L. Heston, of 5233 W. 16th Street was recently elected House Manager of Sigma Pi Fraternity at Purdile University for the Spring semester 1956. Larry, who is a junior in the school of Electrical Engineering, graduated from Speedway High School, where he was an active participant in several sports. He also was a member of the Hi-Y Club and served as Sports Editor of the school newspaper. In addition to serving as house manager of the fraternity, Larry is a member of the Chandelle Squadron, an Air Force honorary, and also belongs to the 1.R.E., a national organization of electrical engineers. Mr. Robert L. McAllister, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. McAllister, of 1919 Gerrard Drive was recently elected Treasurer of Sigma Pi Fraternity at Purdue University for the Spring semester 1956. Bob, who is a junior in the school of Mechanical Engineering, graduated from Speedway High School in 1953. - Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Turner and Mre? Opal Prentice spent Sun. in Milan, Indiana. They were dinner guests of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Smith who were celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary. Mr. Orville English, Speedway s HigtTSchool Custodian, who passed away January 11 had been employed as school custodian for 9% years. Mr. English was first employed in December of 1944 * and forked until August of 1947. He returned in February of 1949 and had served as afternoon and night custodian since that time. Students, teachers, and many Speedway citizens who x came in contact with him at night meetings held in the school will miss his friendliness and helpfulness. Speedway Schools have had a number of visitors the past two weeks. Among them were Superintendent Watson and Assistant Superintendent Gabbert of the Terre Hlute Schools, and Superintendent Lee Eve and members of the School Board from Crawfordsville. Both groups visited the High School and Elementary School No. 2. Professor Hart and a group of students from Butler University spent a half day visiting classes at Elementary School No. 2 last week and an Indiana University class from the State Board of Health also visited Elementary School No. 2 to check building facilities.
