SPEEDWAY METHODIST CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) We plan to have a complete turkey dinner followed by a brief musical entertainment. The program is arranged to better acquaint everyone with the functions of the Civic Town of Speedway. Mr. Floyd Bilbee, Mr. Everitt Robbins, Mr. Glen Collins and Mr. Cledith Stephens, representing the different departments of the Town, will outline the several phases of our town government. CHOIR REHEARSALS Wednesday: 4:00 p.m.—Angelus Choir 7:30 p.m.—Chancel Choir Thursday: 3:00 p.m.—Children’s Chorale 7:00 p.m.—Chapel Choir 8:00 p.m.—Cloister Choir We urgently need two French horns, two English horns and three violins for the Christmas Eve Cantata. Please contact the church secretary or the minister of music at the Church. We were happy to welcome into our membership last Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Ketcham and sons David and Stephan, of 1611 Christopher Lane. Sunday, December 4th will be our annual observance of Women’s Day. A detailed announcement will appear in next week’s Flyer. Fifteen young people and five adults attended the Chi Rho Youth Meets at Eighth Christian and Centenary Christian Churches this past Sunday. Mesdames Rahm, Briggs, Thome and Hagerty, and Mr. John Hayes all took part in the Interest Groups. Did you know that both the Primary and Juniorette Departments have been gathering money to send to the Yakima Indians at White Swan? That our Junior Hi C.Y.F. is considering bringing gifts for the Yakimas instead of themselves to their Christmas Party? That Margaret Dotlich and her husband have donated some lovely toys to our Nursery? A detailed list of items which will be needed for the new Educational Wing will be posted on the bulletin board in the Narthex next Sunday. A few of the articles needed are: record players (for all departments), five pianos, tables, metal or wood folding chairs, pictures (all children departments), rugs, worship tables, drapes (all departments), bulletin boards and black boards. Anyone interested in helping to fill these needs, may call the Church office, Be. 2000.
