SPEEDWAY HOBBY AND HOMEMAKERS There has been a change in our calendar for November. Our regular business meeting will be Tuesday, November Ist at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Dorothy Shultz, 1313 North Winton. This will be a breakfast with Leia Finnerty and Mary Graesch assisting the hostess. There will be an election of officers for the coming year. The lesson “Homemade Christmas Gifts” will be given by Mazie Bender, Ruby Zimmerman and Genevieve North. We are happy to welcome Thelma Beck into our 'group. Reservations for our trip to Chicago November 10th MUST be in at this meeting. Make reservations with Mazie Bender. We are glad to hear that Viola Parke, Edna Gatchel, Goldie Lesman and Margaret Emmick’s husband are coming along nicely now. Olieva Wenning, Pres. TEENETTES Hi! Instead of having our usual meeting after school, we had a pitch-in dinner at 5:30 at Judy Burgin’s house, before the game. After the game we had initiation of our two new pledges. Everything was decorated in yellow and blue crepe paper. After the initiation we danced for about a half-hour and we ate again. We want to thank Judy and Mrs. Burgin for putting up with us. We also wish to thank Mr. Burgin for driving us home afterwords. Sec., Pub., Sharon Ashley Pres., Judy Burgin SPEEDWAY CRAFT CLUB Craft Club members, their families and friends are invited to come to the Temple Saturday night for an evening of fun. Square dancing from 8 to 11 p.m., called by Jack and Grace Livingston will be the highlight of the evening. Refreshments will be served. Come early, around 7:30, and enjoy an evening of fellowship. CASTLE CRAIG CHAPTER I.T.S.C. Castle Craig Chapter will have a dinner meeting Thursday, October 27th at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Ann Emigholz, 5106 W. 22nd St. Dessert and drinks will be furnished and each member bring a covered dish and own table service. KEZZIA Kezia Circle will meet in Fellowship Hall November 1, 7:30 p.m. Remember the canned goods or staples such as flour, sugar, coffee, dry beans, etc., for the Wheeler Mission. Local Clubs Aid Speech & Hearing Bloomington, Ind. The Indiana organization of Exchange Clubs of which the Speedway club is a member have endorsed an agreement with the Indiana University Foundation to provide new speech and hearing clinic facilities at the University. The state organization of Exchange through its president, Thurman Biddinger, of Marion, announced here today the starting of a five-year campaign to raise SIOO,OOO for the facilities to aid the 40,000 Indiana children with speech and hearing handicaps. The money raised in the 39 Exchange Clubs of the state will be used to build a dormitory and to provide equipment for the LU. Speech and Hearing Clinic, established in 1937 and the only resident clinic in the state for children with these defects. The University’s clinic is now housed in a small one-time private residence, known as Knight House, which (has a capacity for 24 children. The planned Indiana Exchange House will accommodate twice as many children. Robert L. Malisen, I.U. Clinic director, estimates that five per cent of the state’s 800,000 school-
