SPEEDWAY CHRISTIAN CHURCH (Continued from page 1) REMEMBER SENIOR HI C.Y.F. PAPER DRIVE SEPTEMBER 10th!!! LEADERSHIP TRAINING SCHOOL If enough leaders can be secured a Leadership Training School is being planned for the above dates. It will be a fully accredited school with 10 hours of teaching time, two hours per night from 7-9 p.m. Classes are being planned for each age group in our church school up to and including the Senior High Classes. A class in Old Testament led by Mr. Thorne is being planned for Adults. Also we are planning to have the Degeners give a class in Audio-visual Aids. The congregation will be invited to attend the school in the class of their choice. You do not have to be a present worker in the church school to attend. If you have ever been contacted to work and are interested in working in the future in the church school we would especially like you to attend.

The Meteors Are Champs! George Ewalt’s Meteors captured the City Championship last night, defeating Tabernacle 3 to 1. Ronni Keller was the winning pitcher and Ronnie Coers was catcher. The following boys make up this championship team: Harris, Ewing, Schwinner, D. Hackett, Noble, Tofil, Prince, Robbins, Peterson, LaFeber, D. Cecchini, Logston, Hitchcock, Roberts, Harper, McManus. Congratulations, boys and Mr. Ewalt. You must be very proud. Mr. Ewalt would like to thank R. B. Hubbard, Rocky Harris, Roy Coers, Bogue Noble, Delman Prince and all of the parents who helped him so very much this year. Now we have come to the close of another baseball season. It has been a very successful season for all teams and we hope next year will be even better. The officers and coaches of the Baseball Organization wish to thank everyone who so generously donated their time and all who helped by becoming members of this large group. It was only through the help of everyone that we were able to have eleven fine teams to represent Speedway. We will be seeing you next year. Tom Strouse, Pres. Martha Frank, Pub.-Sec.
