The Mass tomorrow morning will be at eight o’clock for Julia Beyersdorfer at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Steveiis. On Saturday morning the High Mass at eight o clock will be a Thanksgiving Mass for Joe and Jule Daley, their twentyfifth wedding anniversary. Congratulations, and may you enjoy many, many more anniversaries. The Mass Wednesday was at eight o’clock at night. Each Wednesday night during Lent the Mass will be followed by Benediction. Short talks will be on venial sins, so important to all of us for the salvation of our souls, but many times so little considered, seriously. The Mass on Tuesday morning was at eight o’clock for Joe and Mary Speth at the request of the family. Each Friday night at 8 o’clock services will consist of the Way of the Cross and Benediction. Seventh grade mothers will serve the First Friday breakfast to the children. Mrs. Ann Martich is in charge of the breakfast. Attention Mothers of First Communicants! There will be a meeting of the First Communicant Mothers on Tuesday night, March Bth, that’s next Tuesday, at 8 o’clock in the school hall. A representative from L. S. Ayres will display samples of white dresses and accessories for the girls ahd suits, shirts and ties for the boys. As this will be the only meeting before First Communion Sunday, April 24th, each mother should try and be there. If any further information is desired, mothers may call Mrs. Ruth Kasnak, Belmont 9320. Altar Society members and their daughters will receive Holy Communion in a body Sunday at the 8 o’clock Mass. Mother and Daughter Communion Breakfast sponsored by the Altar Society will follow the eight o’clock Mass downstairs. If you don’t have a daughter, borrow or steal one for the morning, or ladies just come on down without a daughter. Circle your calendars for the March 25th Fish Dinner. Rosie Aust and Helen Morris will be in charge. We read with a great deal of interest an article in the March issue of Reader’s Digest about all prayers being answered. It is well worth reading. Too many times we get discouraged and we feel that God has not heard or answered our prayers. Successful men are not always smarter than the others. They simply stay with a thing longer.—Anon. This week is Ember Week . . . meat may be taken only once on Wednesday and Saturday, and of course not at all on Friday. Monday is the Feast Day of St. Thomas Aquinas. Pray daily the Rosary for peace in the world and the conversion of Russia. Nora Bray
