JOB’S DAUGHTERS First off, I’d like to remind everyone that there will be a stated meeting at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday, January 29. At our last meeting we decided to have two teams, composed of all the active members of the Bethel. The girls on each team are to learn certain things about the ritualistic work, the Bethel, etc. We will then be given a test covering what we learned. Each team will receive a certain number of points every time one of the girls takes this test. The teams will also receive points for various other things during Carol’s term. At the end of the term the team having earned the most points will be treated in some way by the other team. Marilyn Woodward and Ann Lynch are the captains and Carol will announce Saturday the names of the girls on each team. Say, do you have a date for the “Sweetheart Dance”? If your answer is “no,” then you’d better get busy because February 12 is just around the corner. The dance will be held at the Scottish Rite, from 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. and the price is $2.50. There will be two ballrooms and two orchestras, so you’re really getting your money’s worth. The evening will be highlighted by the crowning of the “Sweetheart.” The candidate for Sweetheart from our Bethel is Carol Malaska, so be sure to vote for her that night because it would really be an honor for our Bethel as well as Carol, if she should be elected. A trophy will also be awarded to the Bethel having the greatest attendance, so be sure to go! Put a circle around February IS on your calendar, because that’s the night of our Bean Supper! Tickets may be purchased from any Job’s Daughter at just $.75 each. Serving will begin at 5:00 pan. and will last until 7:00. That’s all for this week. I’ll see you Saturday at 2:00. Carole Malaska, Honored Queen Nancy Lewis, Publicity
TEENETTES Hi, folks! Sure has been a long time, but I finally got it in. To catch up on back news, we had a* real heppedup slumber party at Sandy Wysong's house. We finally got to bed about 1:30. We had breakfast at noon and most of the girls went to the movies. We’re sorry Mary Alice got sick and had to leave. She sure missed a lot of fun. Thanks to Mrs. Wysong for putting up with us. On December 21 we had a Christmas party at Judy Burgin’s house. To start pff we had a pitchin. The food sure was delishAfter the dinner we opened oujr presents and had a grab-bag. Mrs. Stierwalt, our sponsor, gave. us gold sparkplugs on a gold chain. We played games and danced to records the rest of the evening. We want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Burgin for a wonderful evening and especially to Mr. Burgin for taking pictures. At our January 14 meeting we chose our club colors of pink and blue. We also voted to take in as pledges, Karen Richardson and Kathy Gatchel. We sure hope the girls like us, cause we like them. On January >1 Mrs. Wysong gave Sandy a belated birthday party. Our two pledges, Karen Richardson and Kathy Gatchel, were our guests. The party started off with an informal pledge service for our pledges. They were
