Mr. William Smith from the Pension Fund, Disciples of Christ will be here to speak to us on the topic “Unto the Hill*” A program is being planned by Nancy Lewis, George Poor, and Ronnie Frye with Lorene Thorne as their advisor. It promises to be a wonderful evening so won’t you plan to come? Reservations should be into Mrs. Heiser, Winnie Briggs, or Loretta Richards by Sunday, January 30th. There will be a meeting of the Department heads with the Building Committee Tuesday evening, February Ist at 7:30 in the Golden Rule Room. February 6th the change in schedule will take place. Artnantrout is the assistant director. All friends are invited to attend. The bride-to-be will wear an ice blue shimmering satin gown. It has a softly molded bodice with short sleeves and mounts to a lovely portrait shoulder tine. The voluminous skirt falls from an empire waistline into waltz length. Matching colored fitted cap and shoes complete the picture. She will carry a cascade bouquet of Joanna Hill roses with a corsage of white orchids for the center. The attendant’s dresses are fashioned alike in wine and red silk crystallete. Styled along princess lines, the dress has a fitted bodice with push-up sleeves and a soft neckline. The ballerina skirt is highlighted by unpressed pleats in back. Matching hat and shoes complete the outfit. The attendants will carry cascade bouquets of Harvest Moon Carnations. A reception will be held following the ceremony in the Fellowship Hall of the Speedway Christian Church. OBSERVER AVIATION CADETS A recent change in requirements has resulted in many openings for aircraft observer flight training according to Sgt Dale Deffendall, head of the local Air Force Recruiting Station at 418 Federal Bldg. The Air Force hopes to secure a number of fully qualified observer aviation cadets before the end of February. Those men who qualify can expect placement in a flight observer class within the next four months. The observer program includes training in such specialties as navigation, meteorology, electronics, engineering; and bombardment Observer aviation cadets are given approximately one year of the finest training anywhere and upon graduation they will receive commissions as second limitag ants, Sgt Dale Deffendall added. They will then begin a three year tour of active service with pe> of over |5.000 a year. Qualified men between We agee of 19 and 36H who are interested in knowing more about the aviation observer program should contact Sgt Dale Deffendall at 416 Federal Bldg.
