The original asking price was one million dollars. Jury Holliday will star in the movie . . . Betty Caulsister of Joan Caulfield, will try for a screen comeback. She’s been absent from the screen for five years . . . Howard Hughes is negotiating to sign Mario Lanza to a long term contract . . . Samuel Goldwyn reports that Marlon Brando will sing in his next movie “Buys and Dolls” . . . Keean Wynn is asking release from his MGM contract. He’s been with the studio 13 years . . . The Gbldwyn Studios will be sold at public auction next week. The studio is jointly owned by Sam Goldwyn and Mary Pickford . . . The Nevada State Chamber of Commerce reports that the Gamblers in Nevada have paid the State $5293,153 in gambling taxes thus far this year. An all time high. The State gets a 2 percent tax on all gross gambling receipts. WOW. * * • 20th-Fox extended Terry Moore’s contract for another year. Incidentally, Terry’s future at 20th-Fox is very shaky.
