Personals Mr. and Mrs. Leon Glidewell of Falls Church, Virginia are the proud parents of a son, Mark Stephen. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Glidewell are the proud grand' parents. Mrs. Glidewell has gone to two weeks with her son and family. We have a new address for A/3C John Henderson, AF 16437290; 2046 AACS Sqdn.; Box 155, Wright Patterson, Ohio. John J. Eakin, former resident of Speedway, was appointed by the Jasper County Board of Commissioners as County Auditor to succeed Curtis Rardin, who resigned to become State Auditor on Dee. 1. He is the son of Mrs. Maude Eakin and the late Clarence'Eakin. He is a graduate of Speedway Higlv School and studied at Ball State college and Miami (Fla.) University, majoring in business administration and pre-law. Presently he is associated with his father-in-law, Arthur Lagaveen, in the merchantile business. His wife is the former Lois Lageveen and they have two children, John Jr., and Laurel. Eakin will serve out the unexpired Rardin term to Dec. 31, 1956.

The Catholic Recreation Club will have their Christmas party, December 11th, 6:30 p.m. at 542 N. College Ave. Pitch-in dinner. Women are to bring their favorite covered dish. The men will donate SI.OO to help defray the cost of refreshments. There will be a SI.OO gift exchange W those wishing to participate. All members may bring a guest. SPEED-AIRES The Speed-Aires met at Carol* Evans’ home. We had x a little meeting during supper. Sh* served macaroni and cheese, hamsalad sandwiches, potato chips, a salad and relishes with coke or 7-Up to drink. After we ftnistad, her mother brought us in a piece of friend shrimp to sample. For dessert she served ice cream end chocolate cake. Thank you, Carole and Mrs. Evans. Then we went to the game to see Speedway top Pike and to the “Sophomore Hop.** We had a nice time, didn’t we girls? Pres. Karon Barksdale Pub.
