ALL-STATE MUSIC CONTEST Amateur high school musicians from every comer of Hoosierland will move into Indianapolis Saturday for the sixth annual aUstate music contest. Sponsored by the Indiana Music Educators Association, the contest will attract more than 5,300 students from 400 Indiana 'high schools to the Butler University campus. Every room of every building bbthe big 246 acre Butler campus has been reserved for the all-day musical session. Latest count showed that 51 sousaphones, 138 trumpets, 129 clarinets and 205 drum solos entered, besides hundreds of ensembles. One hundred and thirty baton twirlers will strut in the huge Butler Fieldhouse. •Forty judges from Illinois, Ohio and Michigan will rate a different student every six minutes from 8 A.M. until 5 P.M. The young contestants do not compete against each other. After their audition they receive one of five ratings, from superior downward. Those rated superior will be given bronze medals.
