Murat Chanters x Te Hauer Gen. Mark Clark The Murat Shrine Chanters, under the direction of Robert Burford, will present a musical tribute to General Mark Clark when he speaks here at Cadle Tabernacle, February 26 at 8 p.m. The singing of this unusual group is well known locally and received national recognition recently when Ed Sullivan presented the Murat Chanters &n his “Toast of the Town” television program. The Chanters are the only Shrine group in North America to appear on Mr. program and arrangements are being made for them toj sing again on “Toast of the Town” in the spring. Unusual showmanship combined with excellent singing makes the Murat Chanters outstanding. A highlight of their programming is an unusual effect during their rendition of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” yhich employs the use of “black” light on the American flag. This has proven to be so spectacular that the Chanters plan to use it as their signature for each public appearance which they make. Noble McCormick is the piano accompanist.
