Lippard will receive his eighth grade diploma as soon as he recovers from the mumps and finishes his incompleted class activities. The organizational meeting for summer 4-H Club activities wiU be held next Monday, June l§th, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in room 110 of the high school. AU girls enrolled in 4-H and aU others interested in joining should be present at this meeting. All pupils who have registered for the summer reading improvement classes, and any others who wish to enroll, wUI report to the Visual Education Room of Elementary School No. 1 at 9:30 Monday morning, June 22. Classes will be organized and definite hours wiU be set for each pupil for the remainder of the six weeks. Mrs. Blanche Wagle will teach the lower grades and Mrs. Fem Lawson the upper grades. The book and material fees for the course will be $1.25. Speedway finished in a tie for 3rd place in the Mid-State Conference Baseball race. Plainfield was the winner and Decatur Central was runner-up. The final point standing in the Conference All-Sports competition, which Speedway won, was: Speedway, 77; Danville, 71%; Brownsburg, 68%; Plainfield, 66; Decatur Central, 64; Greenwood, 44; Mooresville, 44.

LIBRARY NEWS Summer hours for the library are as follows: 9 to 12, Monday through Friday; 1 to 4, Monday through Friday; 7 to 9 Monday through Thursday. The Summer Library recreational reading program “By Rocket to Adventure” will begin with registration of interested boys and girls on Monday, June 15, at 1:00 pjn. Fifteen books read by July 31 wUJ qualify the reader for a certificate of accomplishment. The program is open to all boys and girls in Speedway who like to read and wish to participate. The only requirements are that the reader must register for the readhag program, read the books and report on them briefly when they are returned to the library.
