Hoosier Hunters Asked To Help In Game Survey Fifteen thousand Hoosier nimrods will be receiving a postcard questionnaire through the mail soon, asking them to report on their experienc afield during the recent hunting season. Some may have received these forms by now. This survey is an annual affair, conducted by William Barnes as a part of the statistical information collected under the PittmanRobertson Act. The data obtained through the voluntary reports by hunters not only gives an accurate picture of hunting conditions in various parts of the state during the open seasons, but also provides a basis for estimating the wildlife populations which escaped the hunter to serve as a starter for the coming year.

Names and addresses of hunters receiving these forms are compiled from the stubs in books of licenses which have been issued by county clerks and other agents throughout the state and from the records of free permits issued.
