Ringing doorbells in the residential districts and tappings on farm home doors in the rural areas characterize the presence of the hardworking volunteers. An intense door-to-door campaign is underway in every neighborhood and community in the entire tyThe $437,740 fund goal for Marion County constitutes a 25 per cent increase over the goal of last year. Expanding Red Cross serv. ices in civilian defense, in aids to servicemen and veterans, and in the national blood program are the major factors causing the increased appeal for funds. Each and every person in the county is being contacted by a Red Cross solicitor and asked to give as much or more than they were able to give last year. Each and every person in the county is being asked to prepare their' home, their community and their nation for defense through their gift to Red Cross.
