SCOUT TROOP No. 222 held our Court of Awards Monday night at the home of Mrs. Parke. The Hostess Badge and the Cooking Badge were awarded to Harriet Carole Lambert, Margaret Parke, Sue Swenson, Linda Yentes, Sue Smith, Carolyn Skeeters, Peggy Emigholz, Rose Marie Webb, Patsy Tipps, and Barbara Dale. Mrs. Emigholz made a short talk that was very interesting. Mrs. Heck, the West Side Field Worker discussed the Senior Scouting program. Mr. Parke showed us some of the films he has made. BROWNIE TROOP No. 143 held election of officers for the month of January. They are Nancy Davis, president; Linda Houpt, vice-president; Susan Thompson, secretary; Beverly Cole, treasurer; Carol Ann Wenning, publicity, and Starr Collins, inspector. We have started our training program for the “Fly-Up” to Girl Scouting in May. At our meeting at the home of Mrs. Wenning last week we started work on our Mother’s Day gift. Our representatives at the Juliette Low Planning Committee meeting at the World War Memorial were Starr Collins, and Ann Wenning who gave us an interesting report. The mothers held a pitch-in luncheon at the home of our leader, Mrs. Thompson, on January 18. Carol Wenning, publicity.
