Any additional money received will be used later on in helping to fill boxes for needful boys and girls in foreign lands. » Dr. Fred Schmidt, Head of the Industrial Arts Department of Ball State Teachers College, and several of his students were visitors to our high school last Wednesday. Most of their time was spent in observing the Industrial Arts Department but they spent some time in other parts of the building. During the past week members of the Public Speaking class have been giving talks in the various homerooms on subjects pertaining to American Education Week. Members of the class who have been participating are Sue Crumley, Mary Lou DeLong, Rosemary Doran, Dick Jordan, and Roberta Ratliff. Their instructor is David Burns. A film trailer based on the American Education Week Theme of “Government—Of, By, and For the People” has been shown at the Speedway Theater during the past week. We are grateful to Mr. Hazelwood, theater manager, for his cooperation in showing this film. Heating units for the Library Addition have arrived, assuring the completion of this unit in the near future. Furniture for the library room is scheduled for delivery the first half of December.
