Lindemann Pastor Sunday Classes: 8:00 o’clock Weekday Masses 6:30 o’clock # The Mass on Monday morning of this week was at 6 o’clock ... a High Mass said for Martin and Celia King, the parents of Mrs. Mary Endres. The all night Vigil on Holy Thursday was very inspiring. This Vigil was made possible by the Holy Name Society. Many people will come and go to the Church on Friday and venerate the cross on which Jesus died and kiss His sacred wounds. Evening services on Good Friday will be at 7.30 o’clock, The services on Holy Saturday will begin at 6 o’clock There will be the blessing of the fire, the blessing of the paschal candle, the saying of the prophecies, the blessing of the font and the holy water, and the reciting of the litanies. The 7 o’clock Mass will be a special High Mass for the members of the Holy Name Society and whoever else may care to attend. The members of the Holy Name Society will meet downstairs and march up to the pews reserved for them. They will receive Holy Communion in a body. After the saying of thenspecial prayers following the Mass, they will return downstairs where a ham and egg breakfast will be served. After the breakfast and a short business meeting, they will be formally pledged into the Holy Name Society by Father Lindemann. Father Bosler is the guest speaker. Every man of St. Christopher is urged to become a charter member of this Society. Every non-Catholic husband is cordially invited to attend the Mass and the breakfast, and to stay for the ceremonies. Mr. P G Martich, President of the Society, promises that everybody will be out of the hall by 10:15 Sunday morning. The regular monthly meeting of the Altar Society will be at 8:00 o’clock Wednesday evening, April 12th, in the Ladies Social Room. We know of the following ladies who have offered help Louise, Mesdames Nola Medenwald, Helen Keating, Helen Hargitt, Ruth Kreffel, Mary Jacobi, and Ruth Kasnak ... and there may be more. And we’re sure that some of the Holy Name members are planning on helping. We couldn’t find out much about the music, only that there is to be mtisic, but the caller for the Square is Guy DeMoss . . . remember, he is the one everybody liked on that last Monday night before Lent. We noticed Sunday that the names of books, and the prices, were posted on the Bulletin Board in the main hall of the Church .. . names of books, that is for the school library. Anyone interested in helping with the school library and who does not have any books to give, or who does have books and wants to help some more, should contact the good Sisters, members of the Holy Name Society, or Father Lindemann. Pray daily the Holy Rosary for the peace of the world, and for the conversion of Russia. A source of much happiness and comfort is in faithfully keeping ourselves busily employed doing good for others. A Happy, Peaceful Easter! Nora Bray.
