Refresher Course for Druggists At Butler For the first time since pre-war years Butler University’s College of Pharmacy will sponsor a refresher course for retail druggists, Dr. Edward H. Niles, dean, announced yesterday. Dean Niles indicated that the course would consist of a series of three lectures to be given each of four Wednesday afternoons, Feb. 15, Feb. 22, March 1, and March 8, from 2 p.m. until 4 o’clock in room 131 of the Arthur Jordan Memorial hall on the Fairview campus. M any of the state’s leading pharmacists, pharmacologists, and men outstanding in the pharmaceutical industry will participate in the refresher course program, Dean Niles said. Lecture topics and speakers for the Feb. 15 refresher program will include “Economic Trends in the Drug Industry,” Bert R. Mull, trade relations manager, Eli Lilly and Company; “The Newer Antibiotics,” Dr. Karl L. Kaufman, executive officer, Butler College of Pharmacy; and “Developments in Veterinary Science,” Dr. W. S. Gochenour, director of biological laboratories, Pitman Moore Co. Dean Niles will preside at the opening program. Included on the Feb. 22 refresher program will be “A Point of View,” Rowland Allen, personnel director, L. S. Ayres and Co.; “Evaluation of Therapeutic Dentifrices,” Dean M. K. Hine, School of Dentistry, Indiana University; and “New Drugs in the Forthcoming U.S.P. XIV,” Dean Niles. Dr. Kaufman will preside. The March 1 program will include “The Storoid Hormones in
Pharmacy,” Dr. A. A. Harwood, professor of pharmaceutical chemistry, Butler College of Pharmacy; “Pharmacists’ Insurance Pro b - lems,” Dean H. C.
