The classes were combined to view a beautiful colored film on the Amazon River. The Mid-State Conference Freshman Tourney played here

last week end resulted in a victory for the Brownsburg team which defeated the Speedway freshmen in a close and well-played game Saturday night. Results of the games were: Speedway 18, Plainfield 14 Danville 22, Decatur Central 20 Brownsburg 29, Greenwood 17 Speedway 20, Mooresville 11 Brownsburg 16, Danville 14 Brownsburg 22, Speedway 20 Bloomington University High School which plays here tonight has taken only 60 of the 200 tickets Set aside for the visiting school. This means that we will have an additional 140 tickets to sell. Drawings for the Marion County Tourney will be made Saturday morning at ten o’clock. Games will be played Wednesday evening, Thursday evening, Friday afternoon, and Friday evening. Season tickets will be priced at $2.00 each. Single session tickets will cost 80 cents. Speedway Stings Hornets The Sparkplugs of Speedway made the Beech Grove Hornets their ninth victim in eleven starts. The score was all tied up at 13 all at end of the first quarter. But in the second, Speedway crept ahead and led at the half 26 to 22. In the second half it was a seesaw affair, but finally Speedway pulled ahead enough to beat the Hornets 41 to 36. Dick Boles and Ray Stewart shared scoring honors for the Plugs with 12 and 11 points respectively. The next game is a home game Jan. 13 against University of Bloomington High School.
