In the third quarter right half Gerry Endres set up Sparkie’s second touchdown with a powerful 45 yard gain around right end, bringing the ball down on Danville’s 20 yard line. On the following play quarterback Dave Wilson tossed to End Dick Boles and six more points. Again The Plugmen failed to convert, but still they were ahead 12 to 6. In the, final period Danville threatened but couldn’t succeed. The game ended with the ball on the Warrior 10 yard stripe and Speedway on top 12 to 6.
