School News Speedway Schools will operate on fast time beginning Monday, April 25. All students and members of the community who have speech I and hearing difficulties will be encouraged to know that through local schools, Indiana University will conduct a Traveling Speech and Hearing Clinic this summer. This service is free as a result of a contribution from the Psi lota Xi Sorority and the Indiana University Division of Adult Education.
Three speech pathologists and one clinical psychologist will administer various non-medical examinations to persons who: stutter, are hard of hearing, have defective voices, have difficulty speaking clearly, have cleft palates and other organic disorders which have caused speech or hearing disabilities. The parents or the handicapped persons will in no way be required to follow any form of therapy or to go any place for treatment. The goal is to acquaint them with the types of services available in the state, if the problem cannot be handled satisfactorily at home.
The clinic will be traveling over the state during June, July and August. Since there probably will be more requests for examinations than can be handled satisfactorily, only those in need of rehabilitation and those who have severe handicaps will be chosen. • \ If you have a child or you yourself are interested in .this clinic please contact Mrs. Beth Blind, school nurse, before April 27, so she may send your name to the University. They will then write to you giving all detailed information concerning the clinic and where and when it will be held. You may then decide whether you wish to obtain the services of the Traveling Speech and Hearing Clinic. Mrs. Blind can be reached at Speedway Schools, Be. 3359 on weekdays Monday through Friday between 8 and 2:30 p. m. or at home 1616 Cord St., Be. 0191 at other times. (Continued on Page 6.)

It is the place of life, eternal life. I thank Thee.” Amen. Do we as parents or family heads enlist all members of the family in the observance of a quiet time each day for the study of the Bible, prayers, meditations and a practice of the sense of the presence of God? Adopt in your home a devotional period. Make use of the best religious art, poetry and music. See that each member of the family participates in meditation. • Remember the importance of atmosphere in the achievement of a worshipful experience, orderliness of furnishings, flowers, worship center, and plans made to avoid disturbance of the meditation period. “A wise son heareth his father’s instruction.” —Prov. 13:1.
