During the past week all social studies classes in the elementary and high school saw the new film “Wheels A’ Rolling” which was a pageant celebrating one hundred years of railroad progress. In connection with this film. Children in the fifth and sixth grades arranged an exhibit for the school on transportation. Lawrence Thompson, high school principal, was in Chicago Wednesday, Thursday and Friday attending the annual meeting of the North' Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges.

Speedway High School does not now belong to this organization but plans to make application for membership. Pictures taken in the new high school building were part of the display at the Superintendents and Business Managers Conference at Purdue University Wednesday, March 23. Thirty-six boys have been working out under Coach Nay in preparation for the first track meet April 14 with Mooresville. There are only four letter men left from last year’s track squad. In addition to the meet With Mooresville, the squad will meet Danville, April 28; Deaf School, May 2; and participate in the Mid-State Conference Meet on May 5. K
