St. Christopher's Catholic Church Rev. L A. Lindemann -Pastor Sunday Masses: 6:00 o'clock Weekday Masses -7:00 o’clock This week-end at St. Christopher offers so many opportunities for the - gaining of graces and indulgences that it is almost unbelievable that so many good things can come all at one time. * Forty-Hours Devotions begin with Mass at 6 o’clock on Friday morning: evening service at 7:30. Mass on Saturday morning will be at 6 o’clock: evening service at 7:30. Masses on Sunday will be at the regular times: evening service, with the closing of the Forty Hours, at 7:30. Friday is the First Friday of the month. All should show their love and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by receiving Holy Communion on First Friday. Saturday is the First Saturday of April. In like manner, all should show their love and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. And since this is the Holy Season of Lent, all should especially want to attend all these services, even if the attending should entail sacrifices on the part of many. Confessions will be heard Thursday afternoon from 4 until 6, and again the evening from 7:30 until 9. Confessions will also be heard each morning, and after Friday and Saturday evening services. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed all day Friday, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday. The children, young people, men and women of St. Christopher, and anyone else who would care to come, should consider it a rare privilege to spend as much time as they possibly can in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament The church should never be without adorers at any time when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. At a meeting of the Trustees Sunday night, among other things decided was the exact date for the ANNUAL SUMMER FESTIVAL. It is to be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, AUGUST 18th, 19th and 20th. Mrs. Richard Chambers, formerly Ethyl King, was the lucky winner in the Merchandise Club last week. It was very hard for her to decide what newly married couples need most: but, fearing that spring might not be here to stay just yet, and of course thinking ahead for next winter, she chose a beautiful summer sea Nashau Purrey blanket. Mr. Joe Petraits returned home Monday from the hospital. He is reported to be feeling fine, and while now only able to be up and down, he is sure that it won’t be long before he can be up all the time. \ Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Gales entertained the ladies who worked on the Father and Son Communion Breakfast at dinner in the Gold Room'at the Marott Hotel Thursday evening. Mrs Yvonne Smith, chairman of the April Committee of the Altar Society, reports that in April she and her committee are to offer a Book Review, and the tentative date is Thursday, April 28th. Keep this date open. The men of the Parish will receive Holy Communion at the 8:30 o’clock Mass next Sunday. “See to it that no one deceives you by philosophy and vain deceit.” —Colossians 2:8. Nora Bray.
