service is offered free each year by the Marion County Tuberculosis Association. The Hi-Y Chib is sponsoring their annual Hi-Y basketball tourney March 8 and 9 at 6:30 p. m. This tourney is between the high school classes, and all boys are eligible except those 12 certified for the sectionals. In the first game Tuesday night the sophomores meet the juniors, and the second game brings the seniors and the freshmen together. Wednesday night the two losers play a consolation contest and the winners of Tuesday’s games will battle it out for the

championship trophy. The price is only 14 cents and all Speedway students and fans are welcome. PLUGS DROP FINAL GAME Led by Jin> Lucas and Jack Bennett who tallied 29 of their team’s 44 points, the Decatur Central Hawks outscrapped the Plugs to the tune of 44 to 41. At the first stop the Plugs led 8 to 6 and held a 22 to 18 advantage at the half. Coach Garland Lewis’ Hawks outscored the Naymen 18 to 10 in the third quarter giving the Hawks a 36-32 lead. Being able to.hang onto the slim advantage throughout the fourth quarter, the Hawks won their ninth game of the season. With less than two minutes to go, Jack Vaughn and Konny King narrowed the gap to 42-41, but Lucas iced the game with his fifth field goal and the Plugs dropped their sixth game out of 20.
