St. Christopher’s Catholic Church Rev. I* A. Lindemann. Taster Sunday Masses: 6:00 o’clock Weekday Masses. -J- 00 o’clock Since Sunday is the fifth Sunday in the month, no special group wiU receive Holy Communion at the 8:30 o clock Mass. During the month of January, St. Christopher lost one of their good families living in Clermont—the Sam Johnson fam- £ HoXer. St. Christopher’s loss was St. PhiWs Thennew address is 942 N. Parker. The Leonard Schmids family, who have been trying to move into this Parish for some time, have moved into the house which the Johnsons vacated. The Mass on Wednesday morning was at 6 o’clock . . . a High Mass for William Kaufman, offered by the Fonn family. The committee in charge of the Chili Supper and Card Party on Thursday night wish to thank all who came down for chili and aU who played cards, and all who helped in any way to make the first social event of the year a success. They were as always happy to see the faces of their non-Catholic friends at these affairs. Last week, we thought that we had made ourselves clear in extending the invitation to all who cared to come whether Catholic or non-Catholic: but evident y not because someone asked if it was all right if they come down. Non-Catholics are always welcome at these social affairs, and they are also always welcome at any service in the churc . The trustees of St. Christopher wifi have their annual dinner some Sunday during February. Eight American girls in Dublin have entered the novitiate o f the Cistercian nuns and will later be sent to the foundation of the order here in the United States located at Wrentham, Mass. The Holy Father has bestowed the honor Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice upon a Negro woman at Lake Charles, La., who had worked among her people in the cause of religion for the last forty years. A spiritual vitamin for February! “O Jesus, infuse the spirit of Thy love into our souls.” On Friday, Feb. 11, we have the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, when Our Blessed Mother told St. Bernadette that she wanted to be known as the “Immaculate Conception.” Dedicate the month of February to the Blessed Virgin and imitate her obedience, her humility and her purity. Say three Hail Mary’s each morning and evening to ask her to keep you pure and free from mortal sin. Let this be your aspiration. “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” ' f Nora Bray.
