State Employment Service Lists Help For Housecleaning Welcome news for the housewife who is beginning to worry about her spring cleaning is announced by the local office of the Indiana State Employment Service where, according to the manager, Sam Springer, a fairly good pooi of experienced day workers is now becoming available for the first time since the early days of the war. Both men and women, Springer says, are once more registering with the free public employment agency for such jobs as housecleaning, wall washing, yard work and other types of employment for which the harrassed homemaker has vainly sought for workers during the past six or seven years.Naturally these workers are compelled to aslc higher rates than they received in 1940, Springer explained, since living costs have increased so materially during that period. He believes, however, that most women will be quick to avail themselves of the labor supply that, at least right now, can be secured by phoning the

Brown in shortening. Sprinkle remaining flour mixture over meat. When meat is brown, push to side of pan and add onion. Cook 5 minutes, or until onion is lightly browned. Add boiling water; cover; cook slowly 1 hour, or until meat is tender. Stir milk in gradually. Heat slowly; do not boil. Arrange noodles on warm platter, putting meat mixture in center.
