Mrs. Montgomery will be in the Primary Department for both the 9:15 and the, 11 o’clock services, so that all of the boys and girls will be able to. .hear her.

Anna Kate Montgomery (Mrs. | J. D.) returned with her husband I from Argentina in February 1944, after four terms of service as a Christian worker among women of Latin America. They first went to Puerto Rico in 1921 where they spent four years and where their only child, Anita, was born. They returned home -in the summer of 1925 and early in 1926 were sent to Buenos Aires, Argentina. There Mrs. Montgomery shared with her husband the work as pastor of one of the churches of the Disciples of Christ Mission. She soon became active in the women’s work of the churches and also in interdenominational work for women. During their second term in Argentina, she and Mr. Montgomery became related to Ward College and she took charge of the boarding department of the Grammar and High School Section in 1935. The following year she was placed in charge of the Girls’ Residence Hall which position she held until their furlough. On returning to Buenos Aires in 1941 she became the director of the boarding department of Union Evangelical Seminary. Together with these duties in the schools she continued to carry responsibility in the churches and also with the interdenominational work for women. For several years she served as treasurer of the' Argentine League of Evangelical Women. Mrs. Montgomery is a graduate of Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia, and did graduate study at the College of Missions, Indianapolis, and at the "University of Chicago. Boy Scouts To Celebrate Birthday This Week The Boy Scouts of America becomes 38 years of age this week, and we have been asked to celebrate with them. We know of no greater observance in the interest of youth than this big national birthday, which affords us more satisfaction. Satisfaction is something the Scout achieves. However, the benefits derived by those of us who are affected by his efforts go far beyond mere satisfaction. The theme of the 1948 Boy Scout Week deserves our endorsement: “The Scout Citizen at Work in His Home, His Community, His Nation, and His World.” There it is, clearly inspiring, for us to examine and exult in . . . 38 years of continuous accomplishment by the Boy Scouts of America. “Vengeance belongeth. unto me; I will recompense, saith the Cord.” —Romans 12:19.
