x St. Christopher’s Catholic Church Rev. L. A. Lindemann .t Pasior Sunday Masses: 6:00 o’clock Weekday Masses -7:00 o’clock At the eight-thirty o’clock Mass Sunday morning, members of the Altar Society and all the ladies of St. Christopher will receive Holy Communion. The Mass on Friday morning of this week was a High Mass at six o’clock and said for Henry Beberdick, offered by the family. - At each Mass last Sunday, a cordial invitation was extended to the men of the Parish to join the Choir. It was explained why the invitation was extended to the men only. While it takes hours of practice to develop a good choir, still any man with a desire to sing and an ear for music can learn to sing the Church music. But since it does take a long time to build up a good choir, it should be the desire of every man established in the Parish who likes to sing to try out for the choir. It is natural that people do move in and out of the Parish from time to time, and also that there are times when every member cannot be present, so that the choir should always have enough members to carry on for the greater honor and glory of God at all times. It was explained that all of our music is built on Church music, our operas and the like. Father Lindemann would be very happy for any man to contact him or Art Helmchen, the Director of the Choir, if interested, and talk things oyer at any time—the sooner the better. The regular monthly meeting of the Altar Society will be held on Wednesday evening, January 21, at 8 o’clock in the Parish Hall. Make arrangements now to attend this the first meeting of the year, and become a part of your Parish Society. “Apply thy heart to understanding”—Proverbs 2:2—remembering “Blessed are they who have not seen, and yet have believed.”—St. John 20:29.
