She will receive a Speedway diploma to be presented by Mr. Cory, and would be glad to have any of her Speedway friends attend. No invitations are being issued. Mrs. Frank Albertson and son, Franklin, and Mrs. Bert Smiley and son, Billy, of Warsaw, Ind., were guests at the Shepard-Dick-erson home on Norfolk Street, Thursday. Mr. Albertson was a patient for the day at Cold Spring Road Veterans’ Hospital. Glenn D. Dickerson made a business trip to Detroit, Mich., Thursday, via Chicago and Southern Airlines. Donnie Moser, little son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Moser, celebrated his fifth birthday Saturday, May 17, by entertaining a number of little friends at a party.Mr. and Mrs. Harold Monee had as their week-end guests, Mrs. Monee’s brother, Mr. William Wilens, of Brazil Mr. and Mrs. Basil Gaddis and Shirley spent Saturday in Cincinnati visiting with Joan and where Shirley participated in vocal tryouts at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Both Joan and Shirley were awarded scholarships to this school of music.

Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hoss and Mary Lou visited with Donna in Bloomington over the week-end. They attended church services at the First Christian Church. Mr. and Mrs. George Stallwood and Charles, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Anderson and Mary Jane spent Saturday at Brown County State Park with Rev. and Mrs. Howard Anderson and Dick and Judy of Bloomington. _ Mr. and Mrs. James H. Hoy of Auburn Street had as their guests Sunday, their children from Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Thomas and children, Carol Lynn and Linda Sue and Miss Joanna Hoy; sister, Miss May Hoy of Lebanon; and aunt, Mrs. Pearl Richardson, and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Jensma and son, Jimmy, from Muncie. The children from Chicago all remained until Wednesday for a visit.
