Attention Citizens (Continued from Page 1) of all school children using the Georgetown Road. • 5. It will ruin business property. 6. It will depreciate business property. 7. To widen this .road after it is finished to the width of Main Street and put in curbs and sidewalks will cost Speedway citizens thousands of dollars. 8. It will be a dumpy road that will detract from the appearance of Speedway. 9. It will cause need for two traffic lights. 10. It will cause homes north of Sjtate Road No. 34 to be damaged by flood waters and backwaters, as the plans now show that State Road No. 34 will be raised to railroad level, leaving Georgetown Addition at least four feet below road level Main Street is our main business area. Do we want it to end in a dumpy road with pavement only 24 feet wide with no curbs or sidewalks? If not, sign one of the petitions in the following stores . along Main Street immediately: Zink’s Market, Schoonover’s Hardware Store, Rosner’s Drug Store, Lyons Dept. ’ Store, Murray’s Beauty Shop, Sharon Lee Sandwich Shop 1 and Beck’s Drug Store. GIRL SCOUT NEWS , (Continued uom Page 1) The sale in the entire county was a huge success —reaching the goal and even going over with some re-orders. The Speedway neighborhood can well be proud of their- share in making this possible. The proceeds of this annual sale are used for the maintenance of the Girl Scout camping program which includes the summer periods of established camping at Camp Dellwood, the Day Camp program carried on at three sites for six weeks during the summer and a new camping program for older girls which will include camping at .McCormick’s Creek and two planned trips. To one and' all, who ate our cookies, we say “thank you!” x There will be a special called meeting of the Speedway Leaders* Club Monday, April 21 at 1:30 p. m., at the Town Hall. All adults of Girl Scouting are urged to attend. This is very important.
