70th Anniversary Of Public Health Nursing Assn.

The National Organization for Public Health Nursing is an organization of citizens, public health nurses, dedicated to helping bring better health to everyone, everywhere, throughout the nation. It is a source of information and guidance to everyone interested in public health nursing. It works to make sure that nurses in public health have the best possible professional preparation and that'their day-by-day performance is efficient and in line with up-to-date scientific knowledge. It helps communities organize o¥ improve health nursing services. Out of every dollar received by voluntary public health nursing agencies (usually called visiting nurse associations), 50 cents is contributed by individuals and community chests; 21 cents is paid by Life insurance companies, industries and other groups; 13 cents comes from fees paid by individual patients; 8 cents comes from tax funds; and the final 8 cents from capital funds.
