However, his mother did tell that he complained about dm slowness in getting started, saying, “Mama, I wish they would hurry up. I’m not .in such a hurry to be operated on, but I want to get it over so I can have something to eat.” Johnnie is doing nicely, and he wants to , thank all his friends for all the flowers, gifts and cards which he has received. The Indianapolis orchestra’s rise to prominence in the national musical picture is said to be unequalled in symphonic history. From 37 concerts played in 19371938, Mr. Sevitzky’s first season here, demand for the orchestra’s services has increased to the point where a schedule of 86 concerts was necessary to fill concert engagements this year. Reservations for the Requiem concert may be obtained at the orchestra’s offices in the Murat.
