School News A The Sociology Class under Miss Bland has been studying the subject “Aims of Education in the Future,” as part of its course of study. During the last week the members have collected information and met in committees to decide what the aim of education should be as seen by the teenager. These ideas were embodied in detailed reports turned in to the teacher. This work was supplemented by informal discussions, library references and an interesting talk given by Mr. Cory on the further aims of education in Speedway from the standpoint of administration. The study has been interesting to all since it has made the class alert to the problems facing educational progress, and the duties as citizens for a better and more rounded educational program. ■ ■■ ■ The seventh grade girls in Miss Kecklers home economics class had a display in the visual education room. It was held on the 19th, 20th and 21st of March. The topic was in connection with our study of home care of the sick.

The girls arranged trays with surprises and made charts showing the arrangement of the trays. All Students will participate in the State Solo and Ensemble Contest will present their contest numbers at the high convocation Friday. The choir has forty-four entries. The Second Children’s Concert of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will be presented Saturday, 10:00 a. m. in Cadle Tabernacle. Special buses will leave the elementary school at 9:15. The P.-T. A. will have a committee to act as chaprons. Mrs. (Lucille Kessler has been ill for the past week. Mrs. Kelley, Mrs. Jamison and Mrs. Marvel have substituted during Mrs. Kessler’s absence.
