Later that evening the party attended the Speedway Theater. Mrs. Anna Hogan of Boonville, Ind., returned home after several weeks’ visit with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. Hugh Williams, Sr., of West 15th street. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams accompanied them on the trip. After returning Mrs. Hogan to her home, the party visited Mr. Williams’ family in Owensboro, Ky. Johnny Hood, Jr. celebrated his sixth birthday with a party Friday, March 7. He is reported to be doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Tegue and son, Jim, and (Mr. Grady Yoder and Mr. Sam Sharp, all of Hickory, N. C., were here visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Sharp. Mr. J. O. Sharp was taken to the Methodist Hospital Monday for an indefinite stay. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Thomas, Jr., are the proud parents of a baby girl born February 27, at the Methodist Hospital. Mother and daughter are home now at 5532 West 16th street, where baby Ann Ruth will be pleased to greet her friends.
