Orchestra To Be Organized at “Y” An orchestra is being organized at the Central YMCA under the direction of E. Bert Allen, song leader at the Irvington Methodist Church who has had many years , experience conducting church ori chestras in Indianapolis. I Membership is not limited by i age or sex, the qualification being the abUity of the applicant to play ,an instrument Musicians who play stringed and woodwind instruments are needed now, Mr. Allen said. The YMCA had an orchestra before the war but it was disbanded because most of the members were drafted into the armed ser vices. Persons who are interested in joining the orchestra are requested to contact Mr. John Wilson, young men’s secretary at the Central YMCA.

This opportunity is also open to former members of the Marine Corps Women Reserve who were honorably discharged, whether married or single. Pay will be according to the rank held upon discharge. There is also opportunity for promotion and commission in the Marine Corps Reserve.
