Speedway is one of the few communities in Indiana which actually makes it possible for every boy in high school to play basketball Each boy who does not make either the first or second team is eligible to play on an intramural team. The Junior High School basketball team played at Brownsburg Wednesday evening and will play Brownsburg at Speedway this Wednesday evening. N. D. Cory will attend a meeting of school superintendents at Purdue University next Monday and Tuesday. The band is working on the contest music that was selected in the December clinic of the Indiana School Music Association. The date and places of contests have not yet 'been announced. Mr. Northcott was elected secretary of the Class C organization of the Indiana School Music Association. • Decatur Central High School is planning a band clinic early in February. Several band students from Speedway participated in this event last year.
