Employ New Field Assistant To Aid Veterans Seeking Jobs Appointment of a new field assistant by the'Veterans Employment Service tor this area to promote job opportunities for veterans was announced today by Thomas W. Bennett, manager of the Indianapolis office of the Indiana State Employment Service. Mr. Bennett said that the new field assistant, Fred Jenkins, was one of 370 new assistants appointed throughout the nation after Congress in its last session ordered an expansion of the Veterans Employment Service of the United States Employment Service. One of Mr. Jenkins’ primary responsibilities will be to develop job opportunities for disabled veterans, Bennett said. Mr. Jenkins will have office space in the Indianapolis local office, at 257 West Washington street. Mr. Jenkins is a veteran of World War I and has been with the United States Eemployment Service for 12 years.
