and school board members were guests at the dinner. All arrangements and plans were made by committees of teachers over which Miss Mary Lou Knetzer served as general chairman. Mrs. Wagle’s fourth grade room reports that in health the boys made a food health chart. From this chart the girls planned menus and then put prices on them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From these menus they made problems for arithmetic. In art they have made many colorful Christmas trees for room decoration. Nyla Rumple brought some pretty holly to school for the room. Ronald Norman and Leon Lucas brought guppies for the room. In Leon’s fish bowl there was a ghost shrimp which was very in-
teresting to know about. The club in Mrs. Wagle’s room has chosen new members for the month of December. They have planned to have Christmas stories read or told by someone in the room each morning until Christmas. Speedway schools will close for the Christmas vacation the afternoon of Friday December 20 and will reopen the morning of Thursday, January 2. The first semester will end on January 17.
