Hoover, are A. V. Beeler 121.8 bushels, Renos Davis on the Clay Gross farms 119.9 bushels, Ben J. Smith 117.4 bushels, and J. B. Wells and son 110.4 bushels. Some ten years ago friends of A. J. Beeler kidded him about buying the hill farm out in Montgomery township that had a potential yield at that time of not to exceed 30 bushels per acre. Mr. Beeler, by the use of limestone, normal amounts of fertilizer and manure and the growing of alfalfa has now brought up the fertility of his land to a point that he can be proud of. All of the five Owen County men will be awarded a gold medal for producing 100 bushels of corn per acre.

Stir in milk gradually until smooth. Add sugar, salt, pepper and vinegar. Beat until smooth. Chill. At serving time, wash cranberries, then dry on towel.
