Butler University To Be Host For Conference Dec. 1-2 Butler University will be hosi to the first fall meeting of members of the newly formed MidAmerican Conference December 1-2, at the Indianapolis Athletic Club, Paul “Tony” Hinkle, Butler’s athletic director, announced today. The athletic conference is composed of Butler, University ol Cincinnati, Western Reserve, Ohio University, and Wayne University. Dr. David Reece. Dayton, conference commissioner, has called the meeting to discuss football, Baskbtball, baseball, track, and tennis schedules for the 1947-48 seasons. Attending the meeting will be football and basketball coaches, athletic directors, and faculty athletic committee representatives.

Eligibility rules for the conference also will be under consideration, according to Dr. Reece. Athletic directors attending the conference will include Mr. Hinkle, Butler; M. Charles Mileham, Cincinnati; W. M. Councell, Western Reserve; Don Peden, Ohio; and Alden Thompson, Wayne. First meeting of the conference is scheduled for 1 p. m. Sunday afternoon, December 1. Defrosting Poultry Frozen poultry may be defrosted by holding overnight at room temperature of 40 to 50 degrees or by placing in clean cool water for from four to six hours.
