Children’s Museum Begins Enrollment Junior Members The annual enrollment of junior members of the Children’s Museum began in the city this week. Dues for children are 25 cents a year and last year 10,000 children belonged. A feature of the project is the distribution throughout the city of posters bearing pictures of the four homes of the museum and carrying the banner “A Museum Becomes of Age.” On December 6 a double celebration will occur; the opening of the newly purchased museum home at 3010 North Meridian street and the 21st anniversary of its founding. The museum was housed for a short time in 1925 at 158 East 14th street, in 1926 it moved to the shelter house at Garfield Park and in 1927 to the Carey mansion at 1150 North Meridian street. The trustees have not owned any of these former buildings.

Support Your Community Fund Official opening of the 1946 Community Fund drive to raise $1,328,000 in Indianapolis and Marion County will be held Monday noon in the Riley Room of the Claypool Hotel, according to an announcement by Walter C. Leckrone, general campaign chairman. The drive will continue through November 20. “We are out in front early this year,” said Mr. Leckrone, “we are asking for the largest goal in fund history and we want to make every minute count. I am confident that with the wholehearted support of the people of our city and county we will meet that goal and that once again we can point with pride to the generosity the people of Indianapolis and Marion County are noted for.” After pressing dresses or suits, don’t spoil your work by careless hanging.
