IN ME MORI AM You are not dead, life has but set you free! Your years of life were like a lovely song; The last sweet notes of which, held long, Passed into silence -while we listened still expectantly! And we about you whom you moved among, Would feel that grief for you were surely wrong— You have but passed beyond where we can see. For us who knew you, dread of age is past! Yqu took life, tip-toe, to the very last; It never lost for you its lovely look, You kept your interest in it’s thrilling book; To you—death came, no conqueror, in the end— You merely smilled to greet an- - other friend! —Lottie.

/« Hit Garden In that garden where masses of blossoms Sway softly in Spring’s sun-kiss- ► ed air There once was missing a flower A wee dainty rosebud, so fair. Where the lilies sway in all splendor, j Regal whiteness of an Angel's wing; • Their perfume blending so sweetly In fragrance that all lilies bring. There are dear little beds of pansies, Purple and lilac and blue. Forget-me-nots sweetness glowing In loveliest shades of all blue. Lilies of the Valley, their perfume Alone fills the garden, complete, Yet, the Master making His rounds Senses something amiss at His feet. Flowers, are nodding and swaying, But He finds ’mongst His roses so rare That He needs one little wee rosebud To heighten the fragrance out there! A tiny little rosebud, undefiled By even Spring’s balmy air, He needs just an unopened bud To make His garden more fair!
