Travel-Study Group Meets The Adelia Chapter of the International Travel-Study Club held their meeting at the Y. W. C. A. Monday night, February 4. Valentine table decorations and favors were enjoyed by the 27 members present. The meeting was conducted by the first vice president, Mrs. Charles A. Kelley, since the president, Mrs. Alfred Aulbach, was unable to attend. Hostesses were Mrs. Charles Nay, Mrs. Robert Parke and Mrs. James Nelson. A very interesting talk on “Ancient and Modem History of India” was given by Miss Amy Keeve. Adelia Chapter was organized January 12, 1940. The club motto is “Whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you even to them.” Our honorary member and counsellor, Mrs. J. Francis Huffman, has extended a guiding hanjl, helping us to attain a club we are all very proud to be a part of. Candidate officers for next year will be named by the nominating committee, Mrs. Charles A. Kelley, Mrs. Edward Grande and Mrs. Oscar Lyons, and presented to the club at the March meeting. Mrs. C. . \ - * —: Lecture To Be Given At Museum On ‘Angel Mounds’ “Angel Mounds—a Flourish Indiana Town of 1600” will be the title of an illustrated lecture by Glenn A. Black, Indiana archaeologist, on Wednesday evening, February 13, at 8:15 p. m., in the American United Life auditorium, 30 W. Fall Creek Parkway, for the adult membership of the Children’s Museum. Eli Lilly, president of the Indiana Historical Society, will introduce the speaker. Mr. Black, who has been excavating and studying the ancient Indian village near Evansville for several years, has arranged a very interesting exhibit in one of the museum’s galleries which will be Open to the public beginning Sunday, February 10, for a short period. Most of the material is being shown publicly for the first time. The exhibit is made up of actual objects dug from the site. Start gossip and it immediately goes into high gear.

Bible Class To Sponsor Victory Day Services The 101 Men’s Bible Class of the Broadway Baptist Church will sponsor a "Victory Day” service next Sunday, February 10. This is a service designed to honor the service men for the victory they have brought to us in the last world wax. The Bible Class is saying “thanks” to these boys.
