On OUR Party line We allow a little time | calls ' " ‘om rvm utn \ ts, IS WHAT WE'VE MADE IT
# “There’s a trick to calling a long list of people without monopolizing a party line. “This is the way that works out best on our line . . . and we have a lot of telephoning to do for various organizations. J We don’t try to call the whole list at one sitting. A few calls , then a few minutes wait to give someone else a chance to call in or call out. / We keep our conversations short. / We avoid starting in on a list during the early part of the evening when our line is usually busiest. i “It’s all part of the plan we have worked out with the others on our line, so that we can all get the most out of our wartime party line service.”
