THE.,. ' _ ' Speedway Flyer NON-PARTISAN NON-SECTARIAN NON-PROFIT This paper is owned and published by civic-minded Speedway business and professional men. It is distributed every Friday to every home in Speedway. It is strictly a SPEEDWAY paper. It has been distributed in Speedway for over thirteen years. Everyone concerned with the management of the paper lives in Speedway and is interested primarily in the best interest of Speedway. Once A Scout, Always A Scout Just to prove that good news travels as well as bad it came in over the wire last Sunday night that a former Scout of Speedway was the giver of a good turn to another Scout who is away from Speedway now. To be exact It happened this way. y The Speedway Flyer gets/out to one Jack Harrison in Lop Angeles or thereabouts and read in a recent issue that Gene Hsipen was quartered at the TeripinaV Island Naval Base which is nearby. A telegram was sent to Gene and Jack and family took Gene all over the countryside on Sunday, March 4. And in order that the news scoop might be complete Gene conveyed the story right back to Speedway by telephone on Sunday night. It seems that Gene was headed to sea for a training cruise the next morning and he wanted the boys back home to know that Hoosier hospitality is not a forgotten art as far as Jack Harrison and his family are concerned. Thanks again, Jack, and you can leave your Scout badge right side up for the whole week.
