Moody, acting director of the women’s division of the Marion County Civilian Defense Council. “Mrs. Carl Manthei, director of Homes Registry, Inc., tells me-that the applications for living quarters have increased greatly in the last few months. TECH PUPILS RECEIVE AWARDS • Jean Farson, Betty Schiefelbein and William Windsor, members of Technical High School’s Arsenal Cannon staff, have won national and state publication awards. ’ Miss Farson gained a state honorable mention for editorials in the Quill and Scroll contests of national scholastic awards. Miss Schiefelbein received the second national prize in the news writing contest, as well as a state honorable mention for a feature story and Mr. Windsor, state honorable mention for his column.
