Speedway Service Club The Speedway Service Club met at the home of Mrs. Arthur Higbee Tuesday, and what a sweet time they had. One hundred and ten dozen home made cookies were brought in from different kitchens in Speedway, and honestly not one cookie was eaten for they were made for our boys in service. The cookies were taken to the Indianapolis U.S.O. centers. The club certainly wishes tc thank everyone who sent cookies and promise you that you may again bake cookies and bring them to the next meeting place of the Club, which will be announced later in the Flyer. The date will be the first Tuesday in October. We are told that the cookie jar at the U.S.O. center is the most popular place of all. If you are not a member of the Service Club of Speedway and have a relative in service or wish to enlist your service with the club to help the boys call Mrs. Bolton, Belmont 4326-W. Sounds We Don’t Hear It is curious that our universe is loud with a mighty chorus of sounds and songs which we human beings never hear at all, just as (according to one entomologist) it is full of lights and colors that ants see perfectly but we do not.
